At four.

Leo & I had such a great day today. He was super brave after having FOUR shots at his 4 year check up. He was cheering Rosie on (she had her one-year check today too) and explaining everything to her and answering the doctor's questions about R's developmental milestones - "yes, she can play toys, peek-a-boo." He had to cry for a while afterwords at the injustice of the whole thing - but really held it together during the events. He stayed home all afternoon because it was too late to make it to school - we made snowflakes out of construction paper and gingerbread men shaped yogurts in the freezer while Rosie slept and then we all walked to "tutti frutti's" on piedmont for even more frozen yogurts. He spend the whole way there walking next to the stroller fielding pretend phone calls on Eric's old cell phone - from "dada" "the nutcracker ballet" "Rosie" and various other friends - gabbing away and closing the flip phone quickly after saying goodbye. He also told me at one point he was watching videos on his phone. Dada was making "Runaway matzoh" He's been having a ball with the treasure of my old ballet costumes that my parents lovingly saved for 20 years, putting on tu-tu over tu-tu and sparkly headbands and prancing around the house. He stayed up late tonight reading books with Eric on the the couch and asking questions about his brain, his dreams, and how blind people are able to eat their food.
