Crazy.

We've had a rough week with Rosie, who's turned to a crazy baby after the sun goes down - screaming at the top of her lungs refusing to sleep in her crib or be comforted by anyone other than me. We're hoping it's her teeth. But saving me a few mornings a week are the morning walks Rosie and I are managing to take together when Eric brings leo to school - I get my coffee and she gets a straw to chew on and we walk through the neighborhood watching for doggies and birds.

She says "ff ff" "woof" for dog and waves at everyone who passes by. I manage, through my bleary eyed exhaustion, to feel grateful for my life, for being in California where you can actually take walks in February and to have time in the morning to do this with her. There was a moment of hilarity today where she actually made two surly oakland police officers break into huge smiles and goofy waves after we walked by and she waved at their cop car stopped at the corner.

She's still the most social baby and goes diving into the arms of her grandma's and aunt liz whenever they come to visit or to take care of her. She took a few steps last week and is working on repeating it, with much encouragement from all of us and Leo who says "look at Rosie! she's standing!"

go canada shoes.
