At nineteen months we have great conversations as she nurses before bed in the dark. Tonight discussing her day at the golden gate park carousel. "round and round and round." She pauses between her thoughts trying hard to get each one right. "Lalo sit loo-da-loo-da-loo" (her word for rooster.) "Lalo sit froggie" "round and round and round." "fun." Then in her crib she asks for her favorite song "east side! east side!" and "mama patt butt."

she says "la" for yeah. "oh la!" "oh la!" to every question you ask.
