Seventeen Months.



Ro is having a great summer. Having Leo home has been wonderful for their growing relationship. They play together in the mornings, go on adventures with Eric exploring berkeley, to the bakeries and parks and hiking around Lake Anza or to the local nursery to see the plants or they stay home and play in the backyard. They play chase around the house - screaming after each other or they sit together and he helps her with sticker projects at the kitchen table.

She's very chatty, says everything, she's been working on real sentences for most of the summer - but lately it just seems like she has a huge vocabulary. Some recent examples - "I want Da da," "I'm Messy," "Lalo sad" when Leo's crying and "Share!" when he just swiped the toy out of her hand. She's super into her baby dolls and pretend play as well as backyard bugs and books and is even showing some interest in potty training.

We're all so proud of her. She's really busy on her feet, climbs up and on everything, I keep finding her on top of the kitchen table, she falls often and doesn't seem to mind very much. She screams when she doesn't get what she wants and we're already losing many of these battles.

She loves to narrate her life and chats away in the back seat of the car and before bed while she's nursing - reviewing her day with me - who she saw, what happened to her.
