Chatty.

Our best conversations of the day with Leo happen just before bed when his exhaustion makes him chatty. We've had such a wonderful summer with him at home.
He still loves to listen to his music one the couch and follow along in his songbooks. He loves to dig for worms in the backyard, to run around in his underwear after his nap or "rest time" and have snacks or roll around with Rosie on the living room floor, and read his latest library books. His questions are becoming ever more sophisticated. He's interests this summer have included bees, and airlines, and now rocket ships and fire. He asks me where fire comes from, whether there are bees on the moon and tonight what happens if you go poop standing up. He'll ask questions over and over again and try out new statements of fact with me to make sure he's understanding the whole concept correctly - "mamma - fires in the forest are good because they clean things out." "the rocket boosters fall off into the ocean?"
